The Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has stated that the newspaper called Diyavaru has fabricated a completely false story claiming that the company has engaged in acts of corruption.
The news published in Diyavaru alleged that WAMCO had conducted a transaction involving a large corruption of 50 million rufiyaa, supposedly for the purchase of 54 garbage trucks.
In response, WAMCO issued a statement saying that the article contains false information without any truth, and that Diyavaru had not contacted or interviewed any WAMCO employee to gather information for this article.
In the statement released today, WAMCO stated that all transactions conducted by the company are done transparently, and that the company’s decisions are based on the resolutions of the company’s board and bid committee.
