The Maldives has participated in the 14th edition of the ‘Europe-Africa Investment Forum’ held in Belgium.
The Foreign Ministry stated that the Maldives was represented at the forum, organized by the NGO CréditSud-Nord in Brussels on the 4th of this month, by the Maldivian Embassy in Belgium.
Some other Asian countries also participated in this year’s forum. In addition to the Maldives, Myanmar and Vietnam presented investment opportunities in their countries to the forum participants.
The ‘Europe-Africa Investment Forum’ is a platform for exchanging information between countries regarding investments in Belgium/European-African countries, expanding the economy, and discussing business opportunities.
At the forum, the Maldivian Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union, Ambassador Qeela Ali, provided information about investment opportunities and sectors in the Maldives. She also presented a video presentation shared by Invest Maldives.
An information paper on investment opportunities in the Maldives was also shared with the forum participants.”
